Alrighty, there are only a couple weeks left until the end of the year, 2017 has been great right. I have been away for a bit, I was just sort of considering the amount of time I had to put in and the amount of time I needed to put in. I saw the quality of my writing start to fall, with too many mistakes and I knew that I was maybe not using my blog the way I set it out to be. Ultimately, I have disappeared for the last three months, which I needed to do. But 2017 has been a FANTASTIC year for me, I have taken this blog further than I ever thought imaginable, with more people reading than I ever thought would. So, thank you.
I want this blog to represent a my views on a film, none of the lurk and I definitely do not want to take inspiration from outside forces. I don’t care how many Oscars a film wins! That being said, it has been pointed out that I only really say films are good, which is true. But that is ultimately for two reasons, 1] I don’t want to waste my time reviewing something bad unless I am 100% passionate about it and 2] we have different interpretations of “bad”. A 5/10, is a OK score – too understand better look at this . But I think I am going to scrap scores for grades instead. Furthermore, I do always try to remember good things about films (case and point: my “In Defence of … series”)
I would also like to take a second to explain that I DON’T JUST REVIEW COMIC BOOK SHOWS AND FILMS. It is just so hard at the moment because they seem to be killing it year on year. I will be reviewing other films and TV shows soon. I really enjoy the discussions/ rants I have about film topics so I think I am going to do more on those, like the Fox in 2018 post.
And finally, THE END OF THE YEAR MEANS a LOT of posts are coming your way, I’m talking everything from reviewing predictions I made this year, to ranking this years’ films and making new predictions for next year, however I may leave some reviews of this year’s films for next year.
